CEO of Lease Alliance to Lead Seminar Oct. 3, 2003 + 4
BIRMINGHAM, Mich., Oct. 2 -- Alan G. Thomson, Chief Executive Officer of Lease Alliance, LLC, in Bloomfield Hills, will lead a seminar titled "Don't Get Run Over By The Bank" at the Towing and Recovery Association of Ohio (TRAO) Annual Family Towing Affair 2003, October 1 - 5, in Huron, Ohio. Mr. Thomson's seminar is scheduled for Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m., and Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m.
"In today's challenging business environment there are many things beyond our control," states Thomson. "Small business owners are tasked with commercial objectives that require hard-nosed business decisions. These decisions may have affected their credit standing causing them to be non- bankable by standard lending institutions, yet they are still in business providing products or services to their customers every day. This seminar will provide tow truck owners with some important financial 'road maps' that they will need to succeed in their business."
"The Annual Family Towing Affair is considered the largest and best show in the Mid-West," states Kevin Ours, Administrator of TRAO, and owner of Ours Garage And Wrecker Service, Inc. Some of the highlights of the five-day convention are the LIFT Foundation Charity Golf Open, Driving Competition and Beauty Contest, WTRAO Auction, membership meetings, exhibitors, and The Amazing Maxwell, entertainment at the Appreciation and Awards Banquet on Saturday night co-sponsored by GM Fleet and Commercial Operations and The AAA Clubs of Ohio. Other sponsors of the event are: Platinum Sponsor, Miller Industries; Gold Sponsor, The AAA Clubs of Ohio; Silver Sponsor, Trimmer Insurance; and Bronze Sponsor, Tow Times.
In addition to Thomson's seminar, other sessions include: Sales Tax on Towing And Storage, presented by the Ohio Department of Taxation; Unclaimed and Abandoned Motor Vehicle Affidavits, presented by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; and How to Obtain PUCO Authority/Commercial Enforcement, presented by PUCO, and Ohio State Highway Patrol.
