Roush Expands Technical Offerings With New Design Studio
LIVONIA, Mich., Oct. 2, 2003 -- Roush, a leading supplier of advanced automotive engineering services and performance products, is expanding its technical offers with a new state-of-the-art design studio that effectively combines the latest technologies with traditional craftsmanship.
"We're excited," said John Cellars, Director - Studio Business Development for Roush Industries. "With the addition of the design studios, Roush is now positioned to meet the niche vehicle needs of our customers. We can offer a complete package of product development and manufacturing services that can take a program from concept drawing through production parts being released into the customer's plants."
The facility contains three separate studio areas, varying in size from 1,500 to 3,500 square feet. Each studio has color-corrected lighting, separate temperature controls and electronically monitored security systems. An experienced staff of modeling and milling professionals is available to do traditional clay modeling, as well as Tarus 5-axis clay milling and ATOS 3-D digitizing.
A suite of electronic design workstations is located inside the main studio. Additional management offices and engineering workstations adjacent to the studios can accommodate up to 100 support personnel.
The facility also provides on-site access to comprehensive product development services, including hard-model fabrication, metal fabrication, electronics, soft trim and paint.
