"Even prior to the blackouts of mid-August, fuel cells and hydrogen technology were the focus of considerable attention and bipartisan support on Capitol Hill. As members of Congress are currently considering several energy-related legislative measures that include fuel cell and hydrogen provisions, we hope this timely briefing will give them a better idea of the status of the technology and the issues that need to be addressed to move the technology forward," said Judith Bayer, chair of the USFCC Government Affairs Working Group. More than 35 member companies are participating actively in the Council's Government Affairs Working Group.

USFCC organizes the annual Congressional Fuel Cell EXPO on Capitol Hill, which draws more than 500 attendees including members of Congress, Hill staff, federal employees, news media, and members of the general public. With more than 115 members, USFCC is the trade association for the fuel cell industry. For more information on USFCC, check out our web site at www.usfcc.com.
