Ventura Promoted to Chief Information Officer for Freudenberg-NOK
PLYMOUTH, Mich., Sept. 29 -- Freudenberg-NOK has promoted Louis F. Ventura to chief information officer (CIO), a newly created position for the company. The announcement was made by Ludger Neuwinger-Heimes, chief financial officer for Freudenberg-NOK.
As CIO, Ventura will assume strategic and operational responsibilities for the corporate information technology (IT) function. In this role, he will be responsible for assessing the company's entire IT organization, as well as creating critical projects aimed at making Freudenberg-NOK more competitive.
Based at Freudenberg-NOK's headquarters in Plymouth, Ventura will report directly to Neuwinger-Heimes.

Most recently, Ventura served the company as director of information systems for its Distributed Products Group, where he led IT initiatives for the Simrit and Corteco Divisions. Previously, Ventura served as manager of information systems for International Seal / Freudenberg-NOK in Henderson, Nev. In this position, he was responsible for integrating multiple International Seal facilities with Freudenberg-NOK's IT infrastructure.
He joined Freudenberg-NOK in 1997 as manager of information delivery, where he managed corporate IT projects.
Prior to joining Freudenberg-NOK, Ventura held a variety of IT management positions in the automotive supplier industry, including EFTEC AG (formerly EMS-Togo), Regal Plastic Supply Co. and Eaton Corp.'s Aeroquip Group (formerly Aeroquip Corp.).
Ventura received a bachelor of business administration degree from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration in Troy, Mich., and a master of science in information systems from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Mich.
