Revolution Motorsports Race Wrap-Up
Miami, Sept. 28, 2003 – Running with the leaders and never looking
back, Bobby Sak [#10 Revolution Motorsports Corvette] celebrated his
25th birthday today by taking the third spot on the podium for the
Motorock Miami 100 Battle at the Beach. This is the second podium
finish for Sak this season. His first came at Lime Rock in May. Today’s
event was the 10th race of the 2003 Trans-Am Series Motorock Tour for
the BFGoodrich Cup. The race will air on SPEED October 10 at 9pm EST.
“My car was really good,” said an exhausted Sak. “This heat and
humidity made the car 10 times worse than usual. I got really tired by
the last set of cautions. The track and traffic was pretty demanding.
But, I think most the guys did a good job.”
Don Sak did a great job holding up his end of the bargain as the senior
member of the father son driving duo with an outstanding 6th place
finish.
“Wow…. I’m exhausted,” said Sak. “This was a tough event. But, I’m
pretty happy with the outcome. It’s a great thing to be out there and
seeing Bobby do so well. It motivated me… it’s really inspiring, as a
father, to watch your son’s progress and see him doing so well at
something you yourself have done and loved all your life. I’m really
proud of him.”
Today’s finish moves Bobby to 27 points behind the current Rookie of
the Year leader, Jorge Diaz.
