CASCAR: POSTPONED: Cayuga Schedule Washed Away

CASCAR SUPER SERIES
CAYUGA WEEKEND SCHEDULE POSTPONED

Heavy rain at Cayuga Speedway postpones CASCAR 'Championship Showdown' weekend

HAMILTON, ON - Following a night of sustained rain in area surrounding
Cayuga Speedway, CASCAR officials have been forced to postpone all events
associated with this weekend's scheduled 'Molson Canadian Presents the
CASCAR Championship Showdown'.
Even if the continuing precipitation were to end - which it showed no
signs of doing as of Saturday morning - the speedway's grounds would still
be too saturated with water to permit the program to proceed.
The CASCAR Super Series' 12th and final event of the weekend has been
rescheduled for next Saturday, October 4, at 2 p.m. at Cayuga Speedway. A
detailed schedule of events for the Super Series finale will be released
shortly.
The other part of this weekend's Championship Showdown was to have been
the CARQUEST 100 CASCAR Sportsman race. That event - as well as a Thunder
Car race - will now take place on Saturday, October 18 at Cayuga Speedway.
The start time for the CARQUEST 100 will be 2 p.m. A full event schedule
will be distributed shortly.
