RUHLMAN THIRD ON FRIDAY PRACTICE DAY AT MIAMI GRAND PRIX

RUHLMAN THIRD ON FRIDAY PRACTICE DAY AT MIAMI GRAND PRIX

Miami, FL (Sept 25)--Top MotoRock Trans-Am Tour driver Randy Ruhlman began
the Miami Grand Prix weekend on a fast note by ending the day in third after
two practice sessions. Ruhlman is set to qualify in the Preformed Line
Products/Coyote Closure Corvette at 11:30 EDT Saturday.

Ruhlman, who finished third in last yearıs Trans-Am race, commented
after practice, ³The track is really good. This morning we had rain and the
track was not bad. This afternoon, the car was great. I had some older tires
on for the session, so for us to be up in third means a lot. We ³stickered
up² with new tires, but the session ended early, when a car crashed into the
barriers. I had a good time out there today, though, and am looking forward
to seeing what we can to tomorrow.²

The race is scheduled to begin at 4:30 EDT on Sunday for 87 laps of the
1.15-mile track. The Miami race will air on SPEED, tape-delayed on Oct. 10
at 9PM EDT. Ruhlman is currently sixth in driverıs championship points with
two races remaining.
