PRUETT¹S ŒFAST CAT¹ TOPS SECOND-ROUND PRACTICE AT MIAMI

MIAMI ‹ Scott Pruett put the silver and green livery on his No. 7
Motorock/Jaguar R Performance XKR to good use Friday afternoon by setting
the fastest time in second-round practice for Sunday¹s Motorock Miami 100 at
the Grand Prix Americas street course in downtown Miami. The two-time
Drivers¹ Champion, who is seeking to clinch his third title this weekend,
toured the 1.15-mile circuit with a lap at 53.526 seconds at 77.346 miles
per hour.

³We¹re still learning the track,² said Pruett. ³It¹s really hard to learn a
track in the rain, and this morning¹s session was wet. The car is getting
better, but our gearing chart is way off. She¹s still not where we want her
to be.²

Michael Lewis set the second fastest time in the No. 12 Westward Tools Car
Available at Grainger Jaguar XKR, ahead of Randy Ruhlman (No. 49 Preformed
Line Products/Coyote Closures Chevrolet Corvette) and rookie Bobby Sak (No.
10 Revolution Motorsports Chevrolet Corvette).

Qualifying is scheduled for tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. The Motorock Miami 100 is
scheduled to start at approximately 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28. The race
will air on a tape-delayed basis on SPEED on Friday, Oct. 10 at 9 p.m.
Eastern Time.
