"In nine months Timken has demonstrated the ability to work in partnership with us to bring real value to our distributor network. The transition to carrying the Timken line is the smoothest I've seen in the industry," said Ron Levene, chairman of Parts Plus. Levene is also CEO of Tier Parts Warehouse and chairman of Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association.
The company's criteria for selecting the award's recipient were on-time delivery, turn around time and order fill rate. Timken exceeded a 95 percent order fill rate.
"Parts Plus is very impressed with the customer acceptance of the Timken product line -- the hub units have had a remarkable impact in stores," said Mike Lambert, president of Parts Plus.
"We appreciate this award. Timken's presence in automotive aftermarket is growing at a fast pace because our full line of products meet our customers' needs to work with a value adding supplier," said Jack Cameron, general manager of automotive aftermarket at Timken.
