Indian Rubber Trade Delegation to Visit Select US Cities in October 2003

CLEVELAND, Sept. 25 -- Indus International Inc. (Indus) and Business Tech Network (BTN) in cooperation with the India Ministry of Trade and its Chemical and Allied Products Promotion Council (CAPEXIL) will host an official high level India rubber trade delegation to the United States in October. Visited cities include Chicago, October 10th, Cleveland, October 13th and New York City, October 17th of 2003. The mission is being organized in conjunction with the American Chemical Society Rubber Expo '03 Exhibition to be held in Cleveland October 14-16, 2003. The Expo is one of the world's largest exhibitions for the rubber industry attracting producers, suppliers and distributors worldwide.

Indus and BTN are arranging high level one-on-one meetings between US companies and the delegate companies. The eight member Indian delegation represent opportunities in the areas of elastomers, sealing products, automobile parts, conveyor belts, rubber sheeting and industrial molded products. The companies are looking for specific strategic partnerships and customer relationships for direct selling, sourcing, joint ventures, collaboration in Research and Development, manufacturing as well as to purchase manufacturing equipment. Indus, BTN and the CAPEXIL will also assist in providing additional services to the participating companies in post conference activities.

India is the world's third largest producer and fourth largest consumer of natural and synthetic rubber offering high quality products at competitive prices globally. Manufactured products are made for the automotive, healthcare and technology sector as well as other industrial sectors. Indian worldwide rubber exports are projected to reach $650 million in 2003.

Indus and BTN are leading international consultants and trade specialists assisting US and overseas companies with their sourcing, business development, distribution and R&D needs. Dr. Michael Salkind, President of BTN is a well- known consultant in the aerospace, polymer and rubber industries having served as president of the Ohio Aerospace Institute. He was directly responsible for obtaining and managing over $200 million in Federal grants. Previously he held high level positions with United Technologies, NASA, and the US Air Force.
