IOCC Organizes Rubber Trade Delegation
CLEVELAND, Sept. 25 -- The India Ohio Chamber of Commerce (IOCC) has organized a trade delegation of eight Indian rubber companies to visit Ohio for networking and personal meetings with representatives from the Ohio rubber industry in Cleveland on October 15, 2003. The IOCC will host a special luncheon for the Indian trade delegates on October 15th at 11:30am; the luncheon location will be announced shortly. Cleveland's political leaders as well as executives from the rubber and automotive industries are expected to attend the luncheon.
These Indian companies will also attend the American Chemical Society Rubber Expo '03 Exhibition in Cleveland October 14-16, 2003 at the Cleveland Convention Center. Additionally, delegates will attend one-on-one meetings with Ohio companies on October 13th at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel from 8:00am to 5:00pm, organized by Mr. Pradip Kamat, President of Indus International.
The eight member Indian delegation represent opportunities in the areas of elastomers, sealing products, automobile parts, conveyor belts, rubber sheeting and industrial molded products. The companies are looking for specific strategic partnerships and customer relationships for direct selling, sourcing, joint ventures, collaboration in research and development, manufacturing as well as to purchase manufacturing equipment. Indus, BTN and the CAPEXIL will also assist in providing additional services to the participating companies in post conference activities.
India is the world's third largest producer and fourth largest consumer of natural and synthetic rubber offering high quality products at competitive prices globally. Manufactured products are made for the automotive, healthcare and technology sector as well as other industrial sectors. Indian worldwide rubber exports are projected to reach $650 million in 2003.
