IMPCO's Partner BRC Converts Italian Government Vehicles to Propane

CHERASCO, Italy, Sept. 24 -- In direct recognition of BRC's commitment to ecological objectives, President Giovanni Quaglia of Cuneo Province formally placed orders for the Province's new vehicles to be converted to Propane (LPG) by BRC. BRC, a partner of IMPCO Technologies Inc. commands a 25% market share in the alternative fuels (propane, natural gas, bio-gas) conversion industry in Italy. At 200,000 alternative fuels vehicles, Italy is one of the largest markets for alternative fuel vehicles in the world.

The first 21 vehicles, mainly Fiat and Lancia, have already been delivered to the Cuneo Provincial Government, in a first step by the Province in support of the Environment Protection Product. Provincial officials have expressed satisfaction with both vehicle performance and the fuel cost savings being achieved. It is anticipated that the entire Provincial Fleet will be converted. President Quaglia further underlined his commitment to the program by having the Presidential Lancia converted as part of the initial program.

The signing of the orders coincided with the World Day for Environment Protection, as BRC hosted a delegation from the local government offices for Cuneo Province in the Piedmont region of Italy. The delegation, which also included the Mayor of Cherasco where BRC is located, was there to attend a press conference regarding BRC's commitment to ecology. Mr. Mariano Costamagna, President of the Board of Directors of BRC described the company's commitment to ecology while also summarizing the significant growth of the company in the recent past, the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Brazil and the significance of the recently established relationship and agreements with IMPCO Technologies Inc.
