Outdoor Channel To Broadcast Outlaw Series "Within 14 Days After Race" OOH Baby.

TEMECULA, Calif., Sept. 18 -- The Outdoor Channel, a subsidiary of Outdoor Channel Holdings, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: OUTD) , announced today a three-year commitment to produce and broadcast the world's largest and most popular sprint car racing series -- the O'Reilly World of Outlaws Series.

The agreement calls for The Outdoor Channel to produce and telecast a minimum of 27 exclusive events in 2004 on a tape-delayed basis. The one-hour telecasts will air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. Eastern between April and September 2004 as part of The Outdoor Channel's popular "Wednesday Night Horsepower" time slot. Most telecasts will air within 14 days of each race, with repeat airings on Saturdays at 8 a.m. Eastern and Thursdays at 10 p.m. Pacific.

"The O'Reilly World of Outlaws Series brand is highly recognizable among American race fans," said Wade Sherman, Senior VP of Programming for The Outdoor Channel. "We are confident this series will be tremendously popular with our audience and is likely to establish itself quickly as our flagship motorsports property."

The World of Outlaws Series sanctions 72 events over 100 dates at 50 tracks in 27 states, offering more than $10 million in purses, contingencies and point fund awards in 2003- its 25th Anniversary Season.
