Pendleton, Ind. (September 15, 2003) ? Recording his 11th top-10 finish in the
last 12 outings, Georgia?s Reed Sorenson has built his largest points lead in the
$50,000 Rookie of the Year standings. After 14 of 17 ASA Racing Series events,

mechanical problems that relegated him to a 17th place finishing position at Elko
Speedway in the Greased Lightning Orange Blast 400 on Labor Day.

Sorenson has posted five top-five finishes, with only a pair of finishes outside the
top 10. Piloting the ACDelco / Port City Racecars / Tilton Engineering Chevrolet

initially at USA International Speedway in March and Hawkeye Downs Speedway
in May.

in April, winning the BFGoodrich Tires 250 at Concord Motorsport Park, passing
series veteran Mike Garvey on the final lap of the event.

Illinois competitor Boris Jurkovic is fourth in the point standings, finishing 26th at
Elko, after dropping out of the event with handling problems. Jurkovic recorded a
best finish of his career at Indianapolis Raceway Park in June, crossing the line
in  fourth  spot.  Driving  the  Phil  Hines  Racing  Chevrolet,  Jurkovic  has  produced
one top-five finish and two top-10s.
