Delphi XM SKYFi is Bloomingdale's Pick for Hot Radio This Fall
Satellite Radios to be Given Out Daily During Nationwide Store Promotion
TROY, Mich. and WASHINGTON, Sept. 15 -- Delphi Product & Service Solutions, part of Delphi Corporation and XM Satellite Radio offer this fall's "Hot Radio" in the Delphi XM SKYFi(TM) satellite radio according to "What's Hot" Bloomingdale's Fall 2003 -- the definitive guide to the best trends of the season!
The SKYFi receiver, choice of adaptor kit and a free year of XM service -- will be the "Hot Radio" in the "What's Hot" promotion, which runs from Sept. 12-21. "What's Hot" showcases not only key fall fashion trends, but also offers insight and access to the hottest vacation, car, radio, and cause, in addition to a variety of hot events and rewards.
Every day during the "What's Hot" campaign, each Bloomingdale's store will give away in each store a Delphi XM SKYFi satellite radio -- a hot portable satellite radio that combines sleek design with the newest technology and XM Satellite Service that offers more than 100 channels of music, news, and entertainment.
Promotion winners will receive the SKYFi receiver with either the home adaptor kit or the SKYFi "boom box" Audio System -- the industry's first all-portable satellite radio. The boom box contains a pair of high-quality speakers with an integrated high gain antenna and a port for the SKYFi receiver. It can be powered by an A/C adaptor to create a high quality countertop/bookshelf XM system for the home or office, or used with six "D" batteries to experience XM in virtually any location.
Delphi, a pioneer of in-vehicle entertainment and electronics, and XM, the nation's No. 1 satellite radio service teamed up less than a year ago to introduce the SKYFi receiver, a stylish and portable unit that provides the most advanced user features of any satellite radio on the market today.
Since its launch last October, Delphi has sold more than 350,000 receiver units to retailers, making it the best selling satellite radio in its class. Attractive radios like Delphi's SKYFi(TM) system and compelling programming are responsible for placing industry leader XM in a position to surpass 1 million subscribers this fall -- on its way to ending the year with at least 1.2 million subscribers.
