Richard Lynch Joins CTA Acoustics as Vice President of Marketing and Planning

CTA Acoustics expands management circle to assist growth with new products and plants on the near horizon

MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich., Sept. 15 -- CTA Acoustics is growing and expanding, and that includes its management staff. The company announced today that Richard W. Lynch has joined CTA Acoustics as vice president of marketing and planning. The announcement was made by James J. Pike, CEO of CTA Acoustics.

Lynch, 50, is a veteran of the automotive industry with more than 25 years of experience at several OEM suppliers. In his new role with CTA Acoustics, he will oversee marketing and sales efforts to General Motors, DaimlerChrysler and several other automakers as well as several tier-one suppliers.

Before joining CTA Acoustics, Lynch was vice president of the Tier One Business Unit of Collins & Aikman in Troy, Mich., a position he had held since 2001. Lynch joined Collins & Aikman in 1996 as vice president of the Ford Business Unit where he was instrumental in increasing the sales by 33 percent for the 2001 model year. In 1998, he became the vice president of the General Motors Business Unit where he had management responsibility for all sales, program management, engineering and administrative functions.

From 1985 until 1996, Lynch worked for Perstorp Components in Plymouth, Mich. as the vice president of sales & marketing. He was responsible for North American sales, marketing activities and strategic development. During his tenure, sales from internal growth and acquisition grew by more than 500 percent.

Prior to this, Lynch was sales and marketing manager for Seamco, Inc., in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. from 1981 until 1985. Lynch began his career as a sales representative with Mead Paperboard Products in Lynchburg, Va. in 1975, where he handled sales to numerous customers in the automotive, furniture, publishing and chemical industries. For five consecutive years beginning in 1976 Lynch was recognized with the Mead DYNA-MMO Award as the top salesman of the year for the company.

Lynch earned a bachelor of arts in Economics from SUNY at Cortland in Cortland, New York in 1975. He is a native of New York and currently resides in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
