Motion Industries Announces Management Changes
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--Sept. 11, 2003--Motion Industries, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Corporation , announces the following management changes. According to Bill Stevens, Motion Industries' president and chief executive officer, these changes reflect the new structure of the company's sales, corporate accounts, marketing and training areas.Ralph Buntyn, senior vice president marketing, will retire at the end of 2003. Buntyn has been a key member of Motion Industries' management team and is retiring with over 42 years of service with the Company. His primary areas have been marketing/advertising, product management and training.
Bob Summerlin will assume responsibility for the sales, corporate accounts and marketing areas and will continue as a group vice president with responsibility for the Company's West Group.
Bill Horn will continue to serve as senior vice president, corporate accounts. Horn will work closely with sales managers who will have corporate account responsibility for accounts in their respective geographic areas.
Tom Robertshaw continues in his role as senior vice president, sales and will also be responsible for Motion Industries' nine product managers in areas which include automation, electrical, fluid power, bearings, power transmission, hose and rubber, material handling, industrial supplies, and repair service centers.
Linda Price, assistant vice president, marketing support, advertising and public relations will continue to lead the company's marketing and advertising areas.
Don Wells, senior vice president of human resources will assume responsibility for the training department in addition to human resource and insurance areas. Danny Waters, director of training will now report to Don Wells.
