Universal Warranty Corporation Selects NAT, Inc. for Extended Service Contract Management System

ROSEMONT, Ill., Sept. 10 -- NAT, Inc., a leading provider of workflow software solutions and real-time, data-rich business intelligence, said today that Universal Warranty Corporation, a subsidiary of GMAC Insurance Holdings, Inc., had selected its SCS Automotive Extended Service Contract management system to help streamline and automate its service contract business processes.

NAT's system is a collaborative end-to-end software platform for workflow automation and re-engineering which provides significant economic and competitive advantages for companies that:

  -- Sell supplemental insurance products
-- Process claims against insurance policies
-- Manage financial risk to achieve profitable growth
-- Sell extended warranties and service plans

The SCS Platform delivers such results by streamlining IT workflow and eliminating IT inefficiencies. It enables effective contract management, accelerates claims resolution, provides immediate cost savings, and greatly enhances the customer experience.

"Our extensive involvement in service contract workflow process reengineering, especially for the automotive marketplace, has created a 'Best of Breed' class of software solutions that help our clients focus on two key aspects of work efficiency: internal process collaboration and work production," said Peter Leger, NAT CEO. "It is by adapting workflow software processes for core business needs in these areas -- customer retention; billing and claims processing; risk management; supply chain; and IT operations -- that companies such as Universal Warranty Corporation can expect to realize the most gains in cost control, risk management and efficiency."

Universal Warranty markets and administers extended service contracts on all makes and models of vehicles through franchised and independent automobile dealers throughout the U.S. and Canada. "Universal Warranty Corporation's investment in the implementation of the SCS Automotive Extended Service Contract management system reflects our continued commitment to providing our customers with outstanding products and customer service. NAT was selected as the vendor best able to meet Universal's needs after a rigorous review of available systems in the market," said Jeff Moon, President of Universal Warranty.
