Frankfurt Auto Show Update: Motorola Intros Ultimate Comunication System For Aston Martin DB9

Frankfurt, Germany, September 9 -- - Passion for performance drives Motorola and Aston Martin to exclusive product alliance

Motorola, Inc. announces an alliance with Aston Martin, the world renowned manufacturer of prestigious luxury sports cars. The two market leaders have combined the latest mobile technology and automotive heritage to launch a fitting and stylish mobile companion to the new Aston Martin DB9 sports car, unveiled at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show.

Premium Phone for 'The Coolest Car'

The first co-branded product to market from Motorola and Aston Martin is the limited edition Motorola V600 mobile handset with Bluetooth(R) wireless headset accessory. Boasting exclusive Aston Martin design and branding, the luxury Motorola V600 and Bluetooth wireless headset accessory -- with limited edition Aston Martin gift box -- are a perfect match for the Aston Martin, recently voted 'the world's coolest car 2003' by Top Gear Magazine.

With exclusive digital content and ring-tones in keeping with the purring engine of one of the world's most prestigious sports cars, the unique Motorola V600 set will undoubtedly be a must-have for all car lovers and Aston Martin enthusiasts.

The desirable Motorola mobile will also showcase customised front and rear anodised covers as well as Bluetooth wireless headset accessory covers, ensuring it embodies the ultimate in luxury sports car style.

Pure performance

The sophisticated Motorola V600 offers the latest in Motorola's Bluetooth wireless technology that ensures seamless communication. Users can easily use the Bluetooth wireless headset accessory to make and receive calls without the complication of wires, while keeping their hands completely free. The Aston Martin DB9 cars will also be utilising Motorola's in car Bluetooth solution, which enables users to adjust and control volume, as well as answer, end or place calls. The convenient solution also ensures the car's entertainment system is automatically muted as calls come in.

Like the Aston Martin DB9, the Motorola V600 was born to attract attention, blending style with communication convenience. The quad-band handset delivers an integrated camera, PIM functionality, advanced messaging features and downloadable games (1) and applications.

The Motorola V600 boasts a large vibrant colour display screen, which is ideal for displaying photos. The handset's advanced Bluetooth wireless technology enables users to then share photo memories quickly and easily. The impressive Motorola V600 also allows users to snap headshots of their new contacts for use in the visual caller-ID (1) so they can recognise the caller instantly.

The limited edition Motorola V600 handset (with Bluetooth wireless headset accessory) with the Aston Martin design is expected to be available to buy from selected Aston Martin dealerships worldwide in October 2003. (Price TBA).
