BMW Struts its Stuff on Catwalk at Frankfurt Motor Show With Unprecedented Number of New High-Performance Vehicles Making Their Debut

At an opening press event Tuesday, September 9th, from 8:30 - 9:00 am Frankfurt time, with direct satellite feed capabilities, four sleek newcomers will taxi down a dramatic runway and take their place in the BMW family of Ultimate Driving Machines.
Dr. Helmut Panke, Chairman BMW AG will open the press event with a brief overview of BMW's global strategy, and will then moderate the runway debut of BMW's most fashionable new models.
The four cars making their debut in Frankfurt include: The BMW X3 -- This mid-size Sports Activity Vehicle was designed for the active, outdoors set, and is well priced for a younger BMW customer. It combines the agility of a BMW 3 Series with the supreme, all terrain driving experience of the X5. Brand-new and absolutely unique, it can fit three mountain bikes inside, and features the new xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The BMW 6 Series -- Rebirth of an icon after a 15-year hiatus. Elegant and dynamic, the BMW 645 Ci sets a new benchmark in the luxury sports coupe market. It features sporting driving characteristics and generous space inside, making it a dream car of the highest standard. The BMW 5 Series -- The newest additions to the fifth-generation 5 Series maintain its reputation as the undisputed leader among midsize sports sedans and wagons. BMW is enlarging the range through the introduction of the 545i featuring a V8 VALVETRONIC engine and the world debut of Active Steering. The BMW X5 -- Thoroughly upgraded, the athletic X5 has a wide range of both technical innovations and design updates including the new, intelligent xDrive all-wheel drive system, new and even more powerful engines, and new design elements.
