Dana Corporation to Showcase Innovations at Frankfurt Motor Show

TOLEDO, Ohio, Sept. 5 -- Dana Corporation will showcase its flexibility, innovation, and product integration capabilities during the 60th International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt, Germany, Sept. 9-21, 2003.

The Dana exhibit will be segmented into five separate "kiosks" highlighting the five key building blocks of a vehicle where Dana has a presence -- namely architecture (structures), chassis, driveline, engine, and transmission. Each of these segments, or building blocks, will showcase current Dana products or future technologies in the form of components, modules, and X-by-wire applications, while also highlighting related materials and process innovations.

"These displays will be representative of Dana's total capability package and are intended to demonstrate the company's ability to provide everything from components to complete integrated systems, depending on the customers' needs," said Joe Magliochetti, Dana chairman and CEO. "We view this event as a platform for building further recognition of Dana and reaffirming our commitment to Europe's automotive market and customers."

Dana will host a press conference at 10 a.m. CET Wednesday, Sept. 10, at its stand, located in Hall 6.1, Booth 30. As part of the event, the company will review:

   - Plans to construct a new manufacturing facility;
   - New technologies designed as cost-effective solutions for global
     vehicle manufacturers;
   - Expansion to its global engineering network and commitment to the
     global marketplace; and
   - New contracts to supply several upcoming vehicles.

Dana executives will be available to speak with the media during the press conference and in planned one-on-one interviews. Among those in attendance will be:

   - Charles F. Heine, president, technology development and diversified
     products.  Mr. Heine serves as Dana's chief technology officer;
   - Karl Nitsch, president, Dana Europe. Mr. Nitsch is responsible for
     Dana's corporate support functions in Europe; and
   - Heinz-Ubbo Eilks, executive vice president of business development and
     technology for Dana's Engine and Fluid Management Group. Among the
     responsibilities of Mr. Eilks, he heads up Dana's fuel-cell-component
     development activities.

IAA, sponsored by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), will begin Sept. 9, with press and trade days running through Sept. 12. The show will open to the public beginning Sept. 13 and will conclude on Sept. 21.
