Continental Shows Solutions for Greater Safety at the IAA

HANOVER, Germany -- At the International Motor Show for Passenger Cars (IAA) 2003, Continental AG is focusing on its core capabilities as a chassis and tire specialist under the motto "Arriving safely and comfortably." At a press conference on September 10 at 1 p.m. (CMF, room Fantasie 1), Manfred Wennemer and Dr. Wolfgang Ziebart will be giving information about new approaches to networking active and passive vehicle safety. They will also review the current projects, plans and prospects of the international automotive supplier.

At their booth in Hall 5.1, Stand A16, the Continental Automotive Systems, Tires and ContiTech divisions will be presenting their portfolios. The motto "Arriving safely and comfortably" indicates the course of the corporation. Innovations and new products document its achievements. Apart from the ISAD system (Integrated Starter Alternator Damper), that can lower the total consumption of a vehicle by up to 20 percent, new high-performance tires as well as the flat-running systems ContiSupportRing (CSR) and Continental SSR (Self Supporting Runflat Tire) will be on display.
