On Sept. 10, DENSO's new worldwide president and CEO, Koichi Fukaya, will speak at a 12:30 p.m. news conference, DENSO's first European news conference.

* DENSO's 1,800-bar diesel common rail system;
* World's first non-fluorocarbon car air conditioning system, the carbon dioxide (CO2) air conditioner (DENSO's CO2 system, which uses carbon dioxide as refrigerant instead of hydrofluorocarbons such as HFC-134a, offers a promising answer to the European Commission's proposal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. That proposal includes phasing out the use of the refrigerant HFC-134a in new vehicle air conditioning systems);
* World's first pre-crash safety system with millimeter-wave radar; * World's first hot gas heater system, and * Navigation systems.
