Continental Tire Secures Supply Agreement With Chrysler Group for All-New Chrysler Crossfire

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Aug. 27, 2003 -- Continental Tire North America, Inc. (CTNA), has announced that it will supply the all-season tires for the Chrysler Crossfire, the high-performance coupe that debuts with the 2004 model year.

CTNA will supply Chrysler Group with Continental ContiTouringContact CW95(TM) tires. The tires provide an excellent balance of wet, dry and snow performance with longer tread life. Additionally, this tire offers a smooth ride, improved high-speed durability, and reduces hydroplaning.

"The Chrysler Crossfire is a high-performance vehicle, and a critical part of fulfilling that product promise is using tires that help improve safety and enhance the driving experience," said Andreas Gerstenberger, vice president of CTNA's original equipment business. "Continental tires are engineered and manufactured to meet these requirements, and we are pleased to partner with Chrysler Group on such a high-image vehicle."

In addition to the tires, Continental Teves, a sister company of CTNA, supplies Chrysler Group with the active booster and front and rear calipers for the Chrysler Crossfire.
