PORT OF MANZANILLO, Mexico--Aug. 2, 20037, 2003--

New Office Yet Another Node in Menlo's Expanding Mexican Network to Support Growing Trade between Mexico and North America, South America and Asia

Menlo Worldwide Forwarding, a leading global heavyweight freight forwarding company (previously called Emery Forwarding), today announced the opening of a new office serving the Port of Manzanillo -- Mexico's busiest and largest Pacific port that strategically links Mexico to 74 countries throughout the world. The new office will offer Menlo Worldwide Forwarding's complete range of global forwarding services, as well as logistics and supply chain management services. Menlo Forwarding has appointed Cesar Colin to manage the Manzanillo facility.

The Port of Manzanillo is 300 kilometers west of Guadalajara and services 15 states in the Republic of Mexico. It is located next to the state of Jalisco, which has more than 130 Maquiladora plants, as well as a host of major companies representing a wide swath of industries.

""Menlo Worldwide's unparalleled depth of experience and reservoir of operational knowledge is unsurpassed in Mexico," said Ron Young, Menlo Worldwide Forwarding's vice president, Latin America. "The opening of our Port of Manzanillo office, the opening of our Veracruz facility last year, and the continued expansion of our Economy service into key markets throughout Mexico amply demonstrates Menlo Worldwide Forwarding's unswerving commitment to meet and exceed our customers' growing global supply chain needs."

Menlo Worldwide Forwarding has more than 30 years of operational experience in Mexico. It has facilities and offices in Guadalajara, Mexico City, Monterrey, Chihuahua, Aguascalientes, Leon, Veracruz, Queretaro and Saltillo. Menlo recently expanded its Economy service to Tijuana/Mesa de Otay, Mexicali, Hermosillo, Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa/Matamoros, San Luis Potosi, Celaya/Guanajuato, Tlaxcala, Cuernavaca, Toluca and Puebla.

"The introduction of scheduled overnight air services from Menlo Worldwide Forwarding's hub in Dayton, Ohio to key Mexican markets in the mid-90's enabled us to provide time definite, critical overnight forwarding services to Mexico's major industrial sectors, including the automotive, contract manufacturing, consumer electronics, apparel and retail textiles and pharmaceutical industries," said Gilberto Rivera, division manager for Menlo Worldwide Forwarding in Mexico. "Menlo Worldwide Forwarding's expanding Mexican network is an ideal conduit to all the major ocean lanes in Europe, Asia and the Americas."
