Revolution Motorsports Road America wrap-up

Revolution Motorsports Frustrated by Bad Luck at Road America
Hayner finishes fifth… Sak retires with clutch failure

Elkhart Lake, Wis. – Aug 24, 2003 – Despite an amazing team effort,
Revolution Motorsports’ drivers, Stu Hayner [#2 GMAC Commercial
Finance/ Trenton Forging Corvette] and Bobby Sak [#10 Revolution
Motorsports Corvette], continued their struggle with lady luck in
today’s Trans-Am race here at Road America.

"We had a real good car,” said Hayner. “The crew really put in a great
effort… they’ve worked hard all weekend. Early in the race I picked up
a vibration. Finally, we decided to come in and see if it was a tire. I
hated to relinquish third, but we felt the earlier I came in the more
race I’d have to get back to the front. Unfortunately, we didn’t locate
the vibration. So it was all for naught.”

“We’ll take the fifth place and head to Denver,” Hayner continued. “We
were real strong their last year and I think if we can dial in the car
with the same consistency we had here, we’ll be tough to beat. I’d like
to get GMAC on the podium this year. They’ve been a terrific supporter.”

Bobby Sak was running in third up to the half way point when he
suffered a clutch failure.

“My car was so good,” said Bobby. “When Stu and I were running together
I could work his draft. Then when he pitted and I was alone, the car
still responded very well. It appeared I was pulling away from the #12
car. It’s real disappointing not to finish here. This is my favorite
track and I really felt I had a strong shot at a podium. We’ll get ‘em
in Denver.”

Revolution Motorsports will move on to Denver for the 2003 Denver Grand
Prix. The race will air September 1, at 1:30pm on SPEED.
