Carlson Takes UMP Main

Franklin, Wis., August 23---Chris Carlson won the UMP late model main event 
from his 11th starting position Saturday night at the Hales Corners Speedway.  
Don Scheffler won the sportsmen feature with Jim Zdroik taking the modified 
main event.  Ken Fluery, Jr. won in the Hales Whales Division with sceond 
generation driver Tony Prietzel winning the Mud Puppy feature.  Only one week 
remains in the historic speedway's history, with August 30th featuring a 55 lap UMP 
main and extended features in all divisions.  Racing gets underway at 5:45 pm 
with qualifying.
