PRUETT FASTEST IN FINAL ROAD AMERICA PRACTICE
ELKHART LAKE, Wis. Scott Pruett set the fastest time during final practice
Saturday for Sundayıs Trans-Am 100, Round 8 of the 2003 Trans-Am Series for
the BFGoodrich Tires Cup championship. Pruett, driving the No. 7 Jaguar R
Performance XKR, toured the 4.038-mile road course with a 2:08.528-minute
lap.
³The only thing we did was add a little more rear wing,² said the two-time
Series champion Pruett. ³We already had a good car. Weıre ready to go.²
Tomy Drissi (No. 5 Stuck on You Jaguar XKR), Michael Lewis (No. 12 Westward
Tools/The Crank Jaguar XKR), Paul Menard (No. 3 Johns Manville/Menards
Jaguar XKR), and Bobby Sak (No. 10 Revolution Motorsports Chevrolet
Corvette) completed the top five.
The Trans-Am 100 is scheduled to start tomorrow at 10:45 a.m. The race will
air on same-day, tape-delayed basis on PEE at 11:30 a.m. CDT.
