Orbit Racing - Road America qualifying

Orbit Racing will start from third and 14th on the GT grid for Sunday's 
American Le Mans Series race at Road America.  Marc Lieb qualified third in class 
in two minutes 9.764 seconds on the 4.048-mile road course, more than three 
seconds faster than the previous record of 2:12.862.  He and Peter Baron share 
the No. 43 YES Network Porsche 911 GT3 RS.  Jay Policastro, who is driving the 
No. 42 Classic Industries Porsche with Joe Policastro and Leo Hindery, 
qualified 14th in GT in 2:14.360, a personal best on the high-speed track.

"I'm happy with the time I did in qualifying; I'm not so happy with my 
performance.  I think I could have done a bit better," Lieb said.  "But we have a 
great car for the race and I hope we can challenge the [top qualifier] Alex Job 
cars tomorrow.  It's quite quick here and you are always on the limit on this 
track.  For tomorrow, it's just one thing - flat out the whole way.  It's the 
only way we can keep up with these guys."

"Qualifying was decent," Jay Policastro said.  "We spent the day working on 
setup, but we didn't get a lot of time on track - we had a few red flags that 
kept us off.  We had respectable lap times compared to the times we've been 
here in the past.  We're starting a little further back than we'd like, but I 
think we'll be pretty good for race day.  There are a bunch of people within a 
second of us, so it should make for good racing."

golf win

Peter Baron scored an off-track victory on Friday, soundly trouncing Alex Job 
Racing drivers Lucas Luhr and Sascha Maassen in a round of golf.  The trio 
played nine holes on a local Wisconsin golf course.

NY, NY

Leo Hindery, who owns the Yankees Entertainment and Sports (YES) Network, 
hosted the five Porsche factory drivers in New York earlier this week.  Orbit 
Racing driver Marc Lieb and his compatriots at Alex Job Racing - Jörg 
Bergmeister, Timo Bernhard, Lucas Luhr and Sascha Maassen - enjoyed a private tour of 
Yankee Stadium, then settled into the owners' box suite to watch their first 
baseball game.  "It was awesome!!" Lieb reported.

Victory Laps change

The operators of the Victory Laps slot-car track were delayed in transit to 
Road America, so fans were not able to compete for a dinner served by Orbit 
Racing drivers.  The dinner will be offered as a prize at the ALMS races at 
Laguna Seca Raceway and the Petit Le Mans.
