Hurricane Racing delivers at Canadian Nationals
Matt Champagne, Justin Mascoll and Robert Wickens all win Canadian
championships

MOSPORT, ONTARIO - Hurricane Racing, one of North America's leading kart
racing teams delivered the goods at this past weekend's Sunoco presents the
GM Racing ASN Canada FIA National Karting Championships at Mosport
International Raceway. Team Hurricane Racing left Mosport with three of
their drivers now being Canadian champions.

Lead team driver, Matt Champagne converted his Formula Senior pole position
into a Canadian Championship.
"I am really happy - especially after last year in Calgary," Champagne said
of his win. Last year, Champagne dominated the final in Calgary before a
ruptured fuel line on the final lap cost him the championship. "We worked
on my Hurricane/CRS PTK (Paul Tracy Kart) until midnight last night to make
sure it was ready - it was." "Our combination of CRS power and PTK chassis
were truly outstanding, when I took the lead and control of the race on lap
one there was no one who was going to take it away," said Champagne.

Not to be outdone, Robert Wickens powered his Hurricane Racing PTK to a
dramatic Formula Junior win.
"What a battle," Wickens said of his Formula Junior win. "This is great for
our whole Hurricane Racing team."

Justin Mascoll added his name to the Canadian Champions list by dominating
in Briggs & Stratton World Formula. "These Briggs motors are all basically
the same, the difference today was the PTK chassis."

Racing is one thing, but qualifying is the measure of pure speed, and the
Hurricane Racing drivers delivered there also. Six of the nine National
classes had Hurricane Racing drivers at the head of the pack. Champagne
took the Formula Senior pole, Wickens captured the RotaxMax and Canada
Junior poles, Scott Campbell powered his MBA chassis to both RotaxMax and
Canada Senior poles, and Mascoll sat on the World Formula pole.

"I am pleased to say the least," Andre Champagne, Hurricane Racing team
owner said after the event. "We showed why we are one of the most
competitive teams around by winning in both 2 stroke and 4-stroke classes
with our PTK chassis."

Of the other Hurricane Racing team members, Nathan Brown was 11th in
Formula Senior, Eric Nielsen was 12th in Canada Senior, Tyler Brown was
fifth in the Mosport Junior Challenge, Scott Campbell took both the Canada
Senior and RotaxMax poles. Campbell also took home the coveted GM Racing
Winner's Circle award for sportsmanship and outstanding competition skills.
