Stronghold Technologies Announces New Customer Contract with Bingham Toyota
BASKING RIDGE, N.J.--Aug. 1, 20039, 2003--DealerAdvance(TM) "Blew Away" Competition; Vehicle Sales Increased 20% in Two Months |
Stronghold Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SGHT), the developer of DealerAdvance(TM), an enterprise software system leveraging wireless technologies for the automotive retail industry, today announced the purchase and successful implementation of DealerAdvance(TM) at Bingham Toyota. As a result of DealerAdvance(TM) substantially exceeding Stronghold's performance guarantee, the customer agreed to immediately purchase the system in cash at signing, as well as a long-term monthly maintenance contract. Located in Clovis, California, Bingham Toyota offers a complete line of new and pre-owned Toyota vehicles as well as a state-of-the-art service facility.
Purchase of the DealerAdvance(TM) system occurred in the second quarter of 2003, with the performance period completed in the third quarter. At June 30, 2003, there were 55 dealerships utilizing Stronghold's proprietary system to improve business performance. Across the country, 11 Toyota dealerships are now using DealerAdvance(TM). Toyota, Honda and Ford each account for 11 Stronghold customers, most from separate ownership organizations. On a geographic basis, California represents Stronghold's largest market with 22 dealership customers.
"A neighboring dealership in Clovis, California was bragging about how Stronghold had automated so many of their daily activities and contributed to a significant improvement in sales," said Linda Gist, General Manager of Bingham Toyota. "We were looking for a system that would help us grow our business and fit in with our culture. We were excited to move forward after seeing the system at work and watching Stronghold's customer service people side-by-side with the other dealership's sales people and management. In no time at all, our people were engaging with the system and soon would become expert with it. It helps us track what we are doing right and what we are doing wrong. Using the data collected with DealerAdvance(TM), Stronghold assists us in improving upon our processes. As a result, Bingham Toyota has become more efficient as a dealership, has sold more vehicles, and has improved the purchasing experience of our customers."
Prior to its use of DealerAdvance(TM), Bingham Toyota had used a competing system to capture information from "Ups", which is the industry term for a prospective buyer. "We had a good system before Stronghold came along, but DealerAdvance(TM) blew that system away," continued Ms. Gist. "Our Ups information is the best it has ever been. We have a much better handle on where our customers are coming from and what our Ups are every day. This allows us to know the effectiveness of our advertising spending. The system also has terrific processes for following up with customers so that we can close more sales after the customers' first visit. Best of all is Stronghold's commitment to Bingham Toyota -- their people are fantastic and have helped us adapt to the technology and really make it work for us." Since implementing DealerAdvance(TM), Bingham Toyota has significantly increased its sales of new and used vehicles. For the two months that the dealership has been using DealerAdvance(TM), it averaged 200 sales per month, an increase of 20% from an average of approximately 165 vehicles sold per month prior to the system installation.
Stronghold's DealerAdvance(TM) leverages wireless technologies to deliver a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software application and has been designed to maximize the revenues and reduce the operating expenses of automobile dealerships. The system is designed to increase sales by effectively capturing a greater percentage of unsold customer prospects and maximizing customer "be-back" (return) and closure rates. Automobile dealership employees with PDAs and other networked users can access customer history and contact information, as well as a personal calendar and instructions on follow-up tasks, creating a highly effective communications tool for business development.
Stronghold Technologies, Inc., is an innovator in applying wireless technology and process improvement methods to increase business efficiency and sales. The Company has developed an integrated wireless technology, called DealerAdvance(TM), which, among many features, allows automobile dealers to capture a customer's purchasing requirements, search inventory at multiple locations, locate an appropriate vehicle in stock and print out the necessary forms. Through an integrated CRM (Customer Relationship Management) application, the systems sends detailed tasks for prospect and customer follow-up and produces management reports to measure compliance. DealerAdvance(TM) allows sales professionals to increase sales, improve customer follow-up, and reduce administrative costs.
