Jacobs' Subsidiary Receives High-Feature Test Facility EPC Contract from General Motors

SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--Aug. 1, 20039, 2003--Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today that a subsidiary company received a contract for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a unique High Feature Test Facility for General Motors (GM) that will support product development testing.

Officials did not disclose the contract value.

Jacobs is modifying an existing laboratory at GM's Milford Proving Grounds in Michigan. The 48,000-square-foot laboratory expansion includes two wind tunnels with climatic and altitude simulation capabilities, multiple vehicle soak rooms, and a transfer hall to support automotive test operations.

In making the announcement, Jacobs President Craig Martin stated, "The opportunity to support GM on this project is a major milestone in our efforts to strengthen our leadership position in designing and building advanced test facilities for the automotive industry."

Jacobs, with over 35,000 employees and revenues approaching $5.0 billion, provides technical, professional, and construction services globally.
