Fleetwood RV's First 'Club Fleetwood' International Rally Is a Big Success

RIVERSIDE, Calif., Aug. 18, 2003 -- Fleetwood RV, the nation's leader in recreational vehicle sales, had over 160 Fleetwood RVs and over 30 vendors show up for the first international Club Fleetwood rally on July 7-11, 2003. The rally was held at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia, Missouri. The event cost $185 per RV and included: breakfasts, a farewell dinner, an ice cream social, educational seminars on how to care for your Fleetwood RV, vendor exhibits, Fleetwood RV product display, emergency service repairs, evening entertainment and activities.

"People are out talking to one another, discussing what's going on," said Bernie Nibakke, Fleetwood owner and rally attendee. "Solving all the world's problems," his wife Carol, added with a laugh. The couple lives in their Fleetwood motor home year-round, wintering in Mesa, Arizona, and spending most of the summer in Bloomington, Illinois. In between, they roam the country. "One thing my wife and I don't want to do is housework," said Mr. Nibakke. "Fifteen minutes, a box of Kleenex and some window cleaner and you're done," he explained. The retired couple, like many at the rally, gave up their home to enjoy the perks that come with roaming the country in an RV.

Club Fleetwood was launched over a year ago to provide all Fleetwood owners with a forum for fun, education and community that will enhance their experience of owning a Fleetwood RV.
