CCC Information Services Inc. Releases CCC Autoverse Claim Management 2.2; Introduces CCC Autoverse Appraiser Management
CHICAGO--Aug. 1, 20038, 2003--Open Technology Strengthens Communication Among Insurers, Repair Facilities and Independent Appraisers and Enables the Efficient Exchange of Claims Information |
CCC Information Services continues to strengthen communication among insurers and appraisal sources with the release of CCC Autoverse(TM) Claim Management 2.2 and the introduction of CCC Autoverse(TM) Appraiser Management, the newest product in the company's open technology, Web-based claims portfolio. CCC has supplied information and technology to the automotive-claims and collision-repair industries for more than 20 years.
CCC began introducing open technology products in early 2002 with CCC Autoverse(TM) Repair Management. Since that time, the company has built an entire portfolio of open technology products to serve all segments of the industry, including CCC Autoverse Claim Management, CCC Autoverse Repair Management and CCC Autoverse Appraiser Management. Each product serves as a gateway for communication with the other industry segments and is functionally designed to mirror the work processes of the respective user groups.
-- CCC Autoverse Claim Management: reduces the manual, time-intensive steps associated with the claims handling process. It provides users immediate access to all information related to a physical-damage claim, eliminating labor time spent searching for claim data. In addition, it is integrated with other valuable CCC tools, including audit and reporting.
-- CCC Autoverse Repair Management: helps increase repair facilities' control of workflow and productivity. It centralizes assignments and assists repair facilities in effectively routing those assignments to balance workload across multiple locations, helping to maximize the workforce, increase efficiency and reduce cycle-time. In addition, it provides the repairer with a real-time view of the repair and claim status.
-- CCC Autoverse Appraiser Management: streamlines workflow processes to help reduce cycle times. It facilitates the routing of assignments from an insurer to an independent appraisal firm. Utilizing assigned independent appraiser-specific identification numbers, independent appraiser firms can better manage their claims files, dispatching assignments to field employees and then reviewing estimates prior to their return to the insurance company.
"As consumers demand shorter cycle-times it becomes imperative that all industry parties communicate efficiently in order to get people back in their cars faster after an accident," said Jim Dickens, senior vice president of marketing and product development for CCC. "We designed the CCC Autoverse portfolio to be the communication bridge that brings everybody together. By continuing our investment in open technology we'll be able to meet the evolving needs of our customers and consumers alike."
CCC Autoverse follows CIECA's EMS open technology standards, creating a "common language" connection between industry participants. This common language allows for the free flow of communication among industry participants and their affiliates who use established estimating systems. As a result, users can be in a position to expand their partner network, helping to increase their opportunities for business.
