Operations to Resume at DaimlerChrysler Facilities Affected by Blackout

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Aug. 16 -- On Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, regularly scheduled operations are expected to resume at all Chrysler Group facilities in the U.S. and Canada that were affected by the blackout. At a few locations, there may be potential issues with sanitary water, but those locations will be provided with bottled water and operations will continue.

During the blackout period on Friday, 14 of the Chrysler Group's 31 plants in North America were affected by the power loss.

Over the weekend, only two assembly plants were scheduled to run -- Warren (Mich.) Truck Assembly Plant and St. Louis (Mo.) North Assembly Plant -- but only St. Louis was operational.
