Cytec Elects New Director
WEST PATERSON, N.J.--Aug. 1, 20033, 2003--Cytec Industries Inc. announced today that the Company's Board of Directors has elected Dr. Barry C. Johnson as a new director, increasing the size of the Board to ten.Dr. Johnson is Dean of Engineering at Villanova University, having been appointed to that position in 2002. Previously, he was Chief Technology Officer of Honeywell International Inc. from 2002; prior to that Barry served as Corporate Vice President of Motorola, Inc. and Chief Technology Officer for that company's Semiconductor Product Sector. He joined Motorola in 1976 and held a variety of technology, product development and operations leadership positions during his 16 year career with the company.
Dr. Johnson left Motorola for eight years in the 1980's to become a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Arizona, and serve a three-year stint as a Senior Research Fellow at E. I. DuPont & Co.
