ROCHESTER, Mich., Aug. 13 -- VIA Information Tools, a Rochester, Michigan software company serving the auto industry will utilize a unique form of transportation to introduce its new "Business Atoms" business approach. VIA has arranged for six Segways(TM) -- fun, two-wheeled human transporters -- to be ridden in choreographed routines by experienced riders Friday, August 15 from 3-7 p.m. and Saturday, August 16 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The performances will take place in the street at 355 South Old Woodward Avenue at Brown Street in downtown Birmingham. Riders clad in VIA-Business Atoms uniforms will perform show-stopping and challenging maneuvers while tossing frisbees and spongeballs and handing out balloons to adults and children alike, adding to the fun of Woodward Dream Cruise.
The six performers will demonstrate "donuts," "lazy eights," pass batons between each other, and toss their soft toys to the audience. Afterward, riders will answer questions about VIA and Business Atoms.
"The Woodward Dream Cruise is a wonderful opportunity to deliver the unique VIA-Business Atoms message to people throughout Michigan, across the country and around the world," said Greg Delaere, of VIA. "The fun and exciting performances will bring the spectators enjoyment, and interested persons may choose to learn about VIA and Business Atoms."
Sixteen-year-old VIA decided to take a fresh look at the way it does business. It evaluated everything from its value proposition to its proposal process, deliverables and service products. And, it designed the Business Atoms strategy to offer customers ultimate flexibility in acquiring information technologies and services according to their particular demand.
For example, when VIA applies the Business Atom concept to developing software for its automotive customers, it delivers precise units of software that represent the smallest unit of a repeatable business process. By applying the Business Atom concept to its Managed IT Services, VIA customers now can order various quantities of small units of service.
"At VIA, we have always prided ourselves in addressing a traditional problem with a non-traditional solution. We look forward to introducing our newest non-traditional solution -- Business Atoms -- so that our customers and potential customers can benefit."
Established in 1987, VIA Information Tools provides flexible manufacturing solutions and managed IT services to the Automotive Industry. VIA has enjoyed expanded growth over the past few years, growing from five employees to more than 100, with customers and product in North America, Europe, Mexico and Japan.
