Visteon Corporation Holds Annual 'First Tee' Youth Mentoring Golf Outing

DEARBORN, Mich., Aug. 12, 2003 -- Visteon Corporation will host young golfers at the fourth annual Visteon "First Tee" Scramble event at Chandler Park Golf Course in Detroit on August 15, 2003.

"The First Tee" -- a nationwide golf program created by the PGA's World Golf Foundation -- provides golf instruction, practice and playing opportunities to underprivileged children in Southeastern Michigan. The program is also designed to teach the importance of maintaining a positive attitude, defining and setting goals and incorporating values like honesty, respect and patience from the golf course into everyday life.

Visteon has been sponsoring the program through the Visteon Fund since 1999. More than 70 employee volunteers from Visteon in the Southeastern Michigan area will team with students from "The First Tee" in a nine-hole scramble at Chandler Park in Detroit, Michigan.

The Visteon Fund was created in 1999 to enrich the lives of children and improve the environment through local organizations.
