This self-contained road show, which debuted at Delphi World Headquarters in June, is decked out with all the latest in consumer electronics for Delphi and showcases the very first ever In-Dash Radio, made by Delphi, back in 1936. Along with the In-Dash Radio, the display features images of several other Delphi products which were industry firsts, including the multi-button in-dash radio, transistor radio, digital tuner, in-dash satellite radio and of course, the first completely portable satellite radio with the SKYFi Audio System.
"The SKYFi has been a winner for us since its launch last fall," said Jeremy Halford, satellite audio business line manager, Delphi Product & Service Solutions. "We are hoping to build on our success in the consumer electronics market as we expand our product portfolio this fall."
The tour will cover 25 stops within the contiguous United States, including appearances in major cities such as Boston, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Baltimore and St. Louis, as well as other venues in Iowa, Minnesota, Texas, Colorado, Utah and California over the next six months.
The complete line of SKYFi products are available at Best Buy, Circuit City, Sears and Wal-Mart stores nation-wide; online or via catalog through Crutchfield, the nation's largest catalog retailer for electronics; and at numerous regional consumer electronics retailers including ABC Warehouse, Tweeter, Ultimate Electronics and many others.
Delphi will be present at three locations along Woodward for this year's dream cruise. Along with the SKYFi road show display, Delphi is sponsoring the Pistons' Hoops City tour that will be at the Shrine Middle School in Berkley and, for motorsports fans, the Delphi sponsored Indy Racing League Car #8 will be in Pontiac near the Phoenix Center for the big event.
