MARC Global Adds Key Executives to Management Team; Two Industry Veterans Take Operational Reins

DULLES, Va.--Aug. 1, 20031, 2003--MARC Global, a leading supply chain execution software and services provider, today announced the appointment of former Manhattan Associates executive, William Joyce, as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Professional Services, and Peter van Merode as Vice President and General Manager, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). As primary members of the senior management team, Joyce and van Merode will report to Oliver Cooper, Chief Executive Officer. Cooper's selection of Joyce and van Merode continues the strategic realignment of the company as it builds an executive management team to lead MARC Global into its next stage of growth.

Bringing more than 17 years of manufacturing and supply chain execution experience to MARC Global, Joyce will manage the company's professional services organization and will be responsible for overseeing global implementation, technical support and training operations of the MARC(TM) supply chain execution product suite. Joyce's objectives include streamlining the current infrastructure and managing processes to optimize implementation efficiency of the MARC suite and to ensure continued high levels of customer satisfaction.

Over the past 16 years, van Merode has played a significant role in MARC Global's European operation in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. In his new role as Vice President and General Manager, EMEA, he will lead all MARC Global personnel and activities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

At Manhattan Associates from 1996 to 2003, Joyce played a key role in growing the company to support its successful Initial Public Offering. He most recently was senior director, professional services, responsible for the global implementation of supply chain software solutions. Joyce also spent 8 years at Westinghouse Electric Corporation in various operations management capacities. Joyce holds a B.S. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University, and an M.B.A. from Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management. He is a member of the Council of Logistics Management and the Warehouse Education and Research Council, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and trade shows.

Van Merode most recently served as senior vice president global alliances and accounts, where he was responsible for developing business and maintaining relationships with MARC Global clients, including Ford Motor Company, Philips and Penske Logistics. In 1987, he co-founded FACE (now part of MARC Global) and was responsible for industrial automation projects and consultancy activities. Since that time he has developed MARC Global's industrial automation activities for manufacturing execution systems and warehouse management systems. Van Merode began his career in 1977 at the Philips Research Labs in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, where he was responsible for computer simulations in the area of high definition television and three-dimensional television. In 1984, he joined the Dutch Centre for Micro Electronics as project manager responsible for projects in technical and industrial automation.

Joyce will be based at MARC Global's headquarters in Dulles, VA, and Van Merode will be based at MARC Global's European Headquarters in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
