Blown Engine Ends Sterling Marlin's Day at the Glen

WATKINS GLEN, NY. (August 10, 2003) ---Sterling Marlin and the Coors
Light team ended a disappointing weekend with a blown engine on lap 2 of
the Sirius at the Glen. After having to take a provisional Friday after
qualifying, the team knew it would have its work cut out for them.

The Coors Light Dodge started to smoke after the first lap and Marlin
brought the car to the garage. The team determined that nothing could
be done to fix the car so the Coors Light team ended their trip to
Watkins Glen International early.

"It hasn't been a good week for us," Marlin said. "We haven't run well
all week. The guys have been working hard. We just haven't found
anything. We ran well here a couple of years ago but we have struggled
ever since. That's just part of it."

Ganassi teammates Scott Pruett, Casey Mears and Jamie McMurray finished
2nd, 22nd and 23rd respectively.

The GFS Marketplace 400 from Michigan International Speedway will be
broadcast live on TNT television and MRN radio on August 17 at 2:00 p.m.
EST.
