7-9-03 LEBANON VALLEY VICTIMIZED BY FREAK WEATHER PATTERN

West Lebanon, NY- The wet weather that has haunted the northeast all week bite the Lebanon Valley Speedway on Saturday night. Two showers in the early afternoon were not enough to deter speedway officials from attempting another great night of racing. The third storm of the night hit just as the final modified heat race was taking to the speedway. The condition of the racing surface worsened and the program was canceled. A special thanks to BERKSHIRE BANK, ADIRONDACK TIRE CENTERS AND TNET for sponsoring this brief night of racing.
Stan Wetmore and Matt Quinn won the two modified heat races that were completed. Ryan Larkin, Carmen Carnubucci, Art Collins and K.C. Goewey won the sportsman heats. Danny Sanchez and Rob Yetman won stock preliminaries the two pro. In the two Pure Stock races that were run Jim O'Neill and Glenn Miller were victorious.
A regular show will be on tap next Saturday night for SAXTON SIGN and DIG SAFELY NY Night. A 30-lap modified feature, a 20-lap sportsman feature and a 20-lap pro stock feature will highlight the card. Plus rookie pro stock and pure stocks will be on hand as well. The four-cylinder enduro will be an added treat for the fans.
