CASCAR: FITZPATRICK MOTORSPORTS HAULER AND CARS STOLEN IN
MONTREAL
August 9, 2003
Fitzpatrick Motorsports Haulers and Race Cars Stolen from Laval's Radisson
parking lot overnight
MONTREAL, QC For the second time in the past few years, the CASCAR Super
Series' visit to Montreal's Autodrome St-Eustache has been marred by the
theft of the entire race hauler, race cars and tools of one of the series'
top teams.
Last night, Fitzpatrick Motorsports was the victim as the team's
hauler including Don Thomson's #4 Home Hardware Chevy and John
Fitzpatrick's #14 Cambridge Rigging Chevy were stolen from the parking lot
of the Radisson Hotel, in Laval, QC.
The team is hoping that someone will see the giant black hauler, which is
recognizable by the red, yellow and white HOME HARDWARE logos and markings,
and report the location of the vehicle to the police.
Thomson, the two-time and defending CASCAR Super Series National Champion,
has secured the backup car of CASCAR veteran Neil Fair for use in tonight's
Couche-Tard 200 at Autodrome St-Eustache, while Fitzpatrick has a car on
loan from Super Series racer DJ Kennington.
