WHEN: Saturday, Aug. 9 WHERE: 5701 Harding St., Detroit DETAILS/ OTHER: Chrysler Group employees from Jefferson North Assembly Plant and Mack Avenue Engine Complex are getting their paint brushes, primer and paint ready for the annual "Paint the Town" project. Created in 1988, "Paint the Town" involves volunteers from the metropolitan Detroit area who help people with disabilities, the elderly and low-income families to beautify their homes. Volunteers from the two Chrysler Group plants will paint a selected home in their plant's local neighborhood, and make necessary repairs to gutters and porches. This is the second year that selected homes were located in the Jefferson North and Mack Engine facility neighborhoods. Jefferson North Assembly Plant manufactures the Jeep(R) Grand Cherokee. Mack Avenue Engine Complex manufactures 3.7-liter and 4.7-liter engines for the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Liberty, and the Dodge Durango, Dakota, Ram and Ram Quad Cab.
