DRISSI TROIS-RIVIÈRES TRANS-AM SERIES
POST-RACE PENALTY REVISED
 
LANSING, Mich. ­ The post-race technical penalty levied against the No. 5
Stuck on You, The Movie Jaguar XKR driven by Tomy Drissi has been revised,
according to written notification received from Trans-Am Series for the
BFGoodrich Tires Cup officials.  After starting at the back of the grid as a
result of missing qualifying due to damage sustained in a practice session,
Drissi came back to score a third-place finish, his best effort this season.

However, the No. 5 Jaguar XKR failed post-race inspection, violating rule
2.10:  ³Ground Clearance.² The initial penalty included forfeiture of all
driver and team owner points earned at this race, loss of all prize money
earned here, and a $2,000 fine, of which $1,000 was suspended. Drissi
retained his third-place finishing position.

Series officials noted that the original penalty had been reviewed. As a
result, the penalty had been adjusted to conform to the precedence set in
the Trans-Am Series for violations of the technical specifications.  The
revised penalty now moves the No. 5 Jaguar XKR to the bottom of the race
results, with a notation stating ³excluded from results.²  In addition, no
driver or team owner points nor prize money earned at this event will be
awarded.  The fine was rescinded.

 The loss of points at the Trois-Rivières event drops Drissi to 11th in the
Drivers¹ Championship point standings.
