American Honda Recognizes Top Suppliers for 2003

Premier Partner Program Honors Suppliers for Exceptional Service

TORRANCE, Calif., Aug. 7 -- American Honda Motor Co., Inc. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Koichi Amemiya along with President and Chief Operating Officer Koichi Kondo recently presented the company's "Premier Partner Award" to 15 American Honda suppliers for their excellence in quality, value and customer service. The 15 award recipients were selected out of 74 nominated suppliers by American Honda associates nationwide.

The Premier Partner Award winners represent industries as diverse as Internet consulting and development, public relations, rail transportation, customer care, marketing research and management consulting. The Awards were established in 1998 to recognize suppliers who embrace American Honda's philosophy of meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

"We are extremely pleased to honor these 15 American Honda suppliers who continually provide us with invaluable services that consistently meet and exceed our expectations," said Gary Kessler, American Honda's vice president of human resources and administration. "Their support is critical to Honda's success and largely enables us to achieve our goal of providing our customers with the highest quality products and customer service."
