Auto-Q International Inc. Receives Purchase Order From UK Based Waste Management Company

LONDON, Aug 6, 2003 -- Auto-Q International Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: AUTQ) , a leading provider of vehicle tracking and monitoring systems for trucking fleets and consumers, announced today that it has received a purchase order from Alco Waste Management Limited, a leading UK waste management company, to outfit its 50 strong Cumbria based fleet.

The Alco fleet primarily consists of skip wagons, tractor units and multi-purpose collection vehicles, which were fitted with the system during June. Alco is confident that Auto-Q's FleetTrak system will quickly repay their investment.

"We were concerned about wasteful use of vehicles, such as excessive idling time and extended breaks," said Alco Operations Manager Laura Stewart. "As an environmental company we also have a responsibility to control emissions and reduce unnecessary fuel usage. We looked at several different systems and chose FleetTrak because it could do everything we needed it to and offered precise fuel monitoring. We have been very impressed with the service Auto-Q has given us."

Auto-Q's FleetTrak system costs approximately $3,000 per vehicle installed. FleetTrak customers generally report a 5-10% fuel saving across a typical mixed fleet, which quickly adds up to savings that eventually more than pays for the installation of the system. The system provides the operator with a safeguard against risky or impatient driving and the potentially disastrous results.

The FleetTrak uses GSM and GPS technology to allow the operator to remotely monitor position, direction, speed, fuel flow, engine speed and braking, painting a complete picture of what the vehicle is doing and how it is being driven. The data can be used as an anti-theft and recovery system and to compile regular management reports, revealing how both vehicle and driver are performing. An optional in-cab monitor enables the drivers to use the data themselves to improve their driving.
