Smartnav provides a new lease of life for Lex drivers

London, August 6 -- Lex Vehicle Leasing is now offering Smartnav, Trafficmaster's new generation satellite navigation system, to all its new and existing leased company vehicles.

The company currently operates a fleet of 98,000 cars and light vans in the UK and leases over 30,000 new vehicles every year, thus providing Smartnav with access to a significant corporate market sector.

Smartnav fits comfortably into Lex's policy to provide bespoke packages and multiple benefits to its customers. The feature delivers a cost effective, simple to use, satellite navigation system operated by one button on the dashboard. Drivers connect direct to an operator (known as a PA), and state their destination. Using traffic information taken from Trafficmaster's 7,500 sensors across the UK, the best route is calculated by computer and downloaded into the vehicle within seconds.

Smartnav can be purchased to include installation and up to four years subscription. The cost of Smartnav can be spread over the life of the contracted term on the vehicle.
