Total Parts Plus Adds Global Part Sharing Feature and Passives Database
FT. WALTON BEACH, Fla. Aug. 5, 2003; Total Parts Plus, an online company that offers supply-chain management products, services, and integrated solutions to the electronics industry, has launched new feature upgrades into its web-based application. Total Parts Plus has added a passives database! This feature enables the user the ability to search passives for life cycle information, which includes: status, product change notices and product discontinuance notices, datasheets, and full component parameters.
Total Parts Plus is also offering a global parts sharing feature, this capability allows users the ability to share components with other Total Parts Plus users. This feature gives a Total Parts Plus customer the option to share their components within a Bill of Material with other customers using the application. This sharing ability allows users to contact each other with similar issues including; supply chain, end of life, obsolescence, and excessive inventory.
"Our customers have been asking us to provide life cycle information on passives, this implementation should help them manage all of their electronic components," said Rick Cleveland, Director of Sales.
The new features, which have recently been added to the Total Parts Plus application, are a part of an ongoing effort to maximize customer input. Other enhancements include an approved vendors list, an unknown parts log, and datasheets. There are no plans for a price increase of the Total Parts Plus products in 2003.
