TARGET TEAM FACTS:

*	Chassis: Team Target will race chassis #004 at Watkins Glen this
weekend.  So far this year, this car has placed 26th at Sonoma.
*	Road Courses: This will be Mears Winston Cup debut at Watkins
Glen International and only his second road course race of his Winston
Cup career.
*	Watkins Glen International: Mears and Team Target tested at
Watkins Glen International at the end of July. 
*	Raybestos Rookie:  Mears is currently third in Raybestos rookie
of the year standings.
*	Did You Know? Rookie Stats: Only two Raybestos Rookies have led
a lap in a Winston Cup race since 1986 at Watkins Glen.
*	Watkins Glen Race Stats: Four of the last seven races at Watkins

"We are very optimistic about this weekend," Mears said.  "We tested at
Watkins Glen last week and had a few struggles but we have worked on
them and are looking forward to this weekend.  This will only be my
second road course race in a stock car.  Although we're not going back
to the same road course track for a second time my experience at Sonoma
and testing should definitely help me this weekend."
